Harness reworked to use in a CJ7?
Where can I send my harness to get reworked to be able to use in my cj-7 that I'm putting a 2000 Ls1 Ws6 in? I need it to have a check engine light and the Data port as it was unplugged from the harness when they sent the engine/harness to me. And if anybody know what does this cost or is it better to buy one from painless at 800$? thanks

The schematics for that harness are posted in this section. You can use them and modify your harness yourself. It will save you a lot of money. You can get an ALDL connector here----> http://tpiparts.net/inc/sdetail/4297

If you want to have the existing harness reworked, there are several good options. The one I'm choosing is Speartech. Should be $450. It'll have a DLC port, fuel pump relay, etc., and all of the unnecessary wiring removed and the wiring all labeled. If you're ok with the location of the PCM on the harness, you're good to go. I thought of doing my own conversion, but I don't trust myself enough. I figure it's worth it. Speartech has a great reputation of getting it right, and answering questions thoroughly after the sale if any arise.

Good information guys I have a way to program this engine with EFI Live that I used to program my Duramax so I'm familiar with it. One other question is I have heard the A/c compressor with not fit in the frame rails of a TJ wrangler but I wonder if it will fit into the rails of my CJ I would like to use it for onboard air and dont want to have to notch the frame.

And another option, using the smaller radial compressor, like you'd see on an early-mid '90s GM car or truck:
