It's a boat part. It's called a cavitation plate turnbuckle. It's stainless steel

What in the hell did you use to get the aluminum polished up that nice? The best ive been able to get is with Zoops polish and a buffer.

Im lost, What do you do as far as cooling? I no nothing about jet boats but my Uncles Regal has a pump that sucks water out of the lake and circulates it for his 350 sbc.

Nice build man. My father has a 70' jetboat that I have been thinking about buying. Needs a little work in the seat department but overall pretty nice. It's got a 454 BBC but I was thinking of pulling that out and sticking a 5.3 with twins on it and keeping injection. You've inspired me a bit.

the pump has a hole on the face of where the impeller rides. it creates pressurized water that goes inside the boat. All jet pumps have it. I routed from that line to the engine. control the heat of the motor by adjusting a gate valve open or closed.

Cool, learn something new everyday! Thanks Just saw the motor plates were bolted over the water inlet/outlet holes on the engine so I was wondering.

guess I should update this and say that after changing to a 50cc pump shot and a little jetting with my timing at 31* I GPSed at 78.1
I also got aluminum tall valve covers and made a puke tank. I put about 100 hours on it this summer and only had a fuel pump problem. no motor problems whatsoever
