Here you go..

This thread was made after most everything had been completed, and was not-ongoing like yours. So, it won't have the kind of detail that yours has.
Depending upon the backspace of the existing rims, you may be able to buy new rims with a deeper backspace to help tuck the tires in closer/keep the tires. I think that stock (rallye) rims in an 8 in size have 4 1/2" BS.
Wish I had heads like yours in the budget-have to stop somewhere, though!
Maybe 'Santa' will keep me in mind next year.

Stan,
Here's some irony for you. Your block looks like the timestamp is either June or July 23rd '97, I can't quite make out the month.
My block went into a '98 Firebird and was made May '97. Go figure.

started working on the motor,i went to swap out rod bolts with ARP!i was curious so i lifted a few rod bearings to see if they had any wear.they look very clean with like no wear to them.
im a little messy with the assembly lube!

Cradle it both hands, go on to the input shaft and start rotating clockwise with pressure, should click 3 times, may take a couple of times,
Motor looks great, nice heads, you are now farther than me on the motor, mines still just layer together, maybe I'll go work on it now!!!!
