im against it because i just hate mod motors.
do ypurself a favor and get a cheep 4.8 or 5.3 ls motor. they have more ci, better heads, better everything than a 2v mod motor.
get a 5.3 with stock parts and a th350. and it will make more power.nad run quicker. ls engines easier to work on also

is this a 2v 3v or 4v 4.6?

if its a 2, then definitley drop it in the garbage, but if its a 3 or 4 valve, you definitley have some potential.

2v and boost? Stock? Ummm, I would not go much higher than 6 or so. Do some searching. The best thing about mod motors is you can gear the crap out of them and run hard. I have a few of them lying around with some extra stuff.

If you want it to be fast and reliable, you need a set of cams (done before the install), port work, and valve reliefs cut. There have been HUGE gains with these things done. 300 whp is not unheard of with the right mods.

That being said, I am more a Ford guy than a Chevy guy...Up till they started fitting/building the chevy parts to fit fords. I think if you want it to be quick, you are going to be disapointed with a stock engine and turbo. The 4.8 or 5.3 is a better bet.

If I could sell my mod motor parts for what I have in them, I would get a 5.3 and 4l and put it in my car...but since I KNOW I can't, I will have to wait.
