If this is going in an FC I deff want to see how it fit under the hood. The stock hoodline leaves plenty of room towards the back of the engine but then the hood slopes down and comes very close to touching the top of the TB.

These are significantly higher than the TB, so they'll deff stick out of the hood, or you'll need a hood wide cowl.

Unfortunately no. I haven't got them in the car yet. I've been concentrating on my road racing so much that my other projects are falling behind.

I do actually hope to de-mothball this and get it back in the shop to marry the drivetrain to the chassis.

The only big issue right now is that I have re-purposed my turbo's and have to source new ones...shouldn't be too hard!

It's the build season! No ice race this year. We really haven't had winter either. I bet we could still road race out there.

I've got two race cars to take care of...mine and my wife's. it takes a lot of time to do it. I'll get back at the others soon enough!

Did you clock the right turbo to make it look better?

Clock yes, but what made the turbo look better is that i actually turned the flange so it was parallel with the engine.

Apart from the direction of the turbo, I can't really see what changes were made to the flange.

Wow! I had forgotten about this thread...

@86SS86LS

I will get that measurment for you tonight.

@SCbuick010

They are your typical T4-0E turbo's from ebay.

Inlet 3"
Outlet 2"
Bearing Wet Floating Bearings
Oil Inlet 1/8 NPT Oil Inlet
Flange Standard T3/T4 Flange,
Working Pressure: 5~20 PSI
Compressor: .50 A/R Compressor
Turbine: .63 A/R Turbine
Compressor Wheel: Exducer: 3"
Inducer: 2"
Turbine Wheel: Exducer: 2.2"
Inducer: 2.58"
Hot Side: 5 Bolt Standard Hot Side

Initially they were only for mock-up of the headers. I plan to swap to dual T70's for actual use.

Glad you revived the thread. It has been instrumental in my build. Trying to find a shop that can weld the flanges to the manifolds. Will take a pic of yours installed as a guide. Why aren't you keeping the Ebay T70's? Are you going to sell them then brother?

I don't have T70's yet. Snails shown in the pics are T4-0E's...T3/T4 hybrids.
T70's are larger.

Top of the turbo clocked in the position in the photos is 2.25" to the top of the throttle body flange.

I finally got my turbos but haven't found a shop yet to hack and weld my fox manifolds. How does one clock a turbo. I see where the right one is now facing downward. I assume you also cut the flange off and rewelded it right?

I welded pipe and flanges to my manifolds with a MIG welder. Check out the pics in my thread.

Not sure where that comment came from.

Anyways, "clocking a turbo" means you loosen the 6 bolts that hold the clamps on the compressor or turbine housing to the center section and rotating the part to the required orientation.

Be sure to have your center section as close to vertical as possible.
