Using a 76 mm on my 5.3 when i get the rest of the parts for it. Might make a short build thread for it here but i posted it in the carb section, just got a cheap 38 mm waste gate. And the innercooler is Ebay, so i am using as cheap of parts possible besides the fuel system when i get the cash for it.

What I thought.. I had the engine completely tore down no pan, heads nothing. When we pulled heads there was sand in the cylinders. We cleaned the crap out of that motor. Guess it was in every part of the block. Motor came from south alabama. Im thinking water damaged truck from a hurricane or something. Only explanation I can come up with. But as of now she is doing fine and holding way better than expected oil pressure at idle after locking up. Gonna do 2 more oil changes just to be on safe side.

Well I finally got to drive the car (left camera at the shop so ill post the pics and vids monday night). Did a lot of cruise tuning, half throttle stuff etc.. Car made 3#'s at 50% throttle and 5#'s at 75% throttle and 12#'s at WOT. Starts hazing the tires right around 40-50mph + - a few mph. Couldnt hold it becuase road isnt very long and it takes it forever to stop. Need to get the manual brake kit ordered. The ebay turbo really comes on pretty good and is fully online close to 4k. Didnt think it was bad since we have a few exhaust leaks to fix so i know its bleeding some boost..

What kind of HP#'s are you hoping for? I'm looking to start accumulating parts for my build also.

Sounds ready, i cannot wait to get the 5.3 in the TA running much less finish collecting all the boost parts for mock up and install in the future.

In car 1st and 2nd gear pull.13#'s 10 degrees of timing. We went all the way up to 18#'s timing on 93 octane and 0 knock. Turned it down to make sure its gonna do ok.
