Since I started this thread, I think there has been at least 10 more LS1 mustang build threads posted.

you know my check engine light came on, so I checked under the hood and lo and behold a LS1 motor was there. I wonder how it knew to tell me to check it.

your Buick is a very nicely done swap. Looks like a factory stocker.

Fits better, physically smaller, more ci capacity
Physically smaller heads that flow way better than mod motors.
No wonder people are dropping em in all mustangs.
Me, i would never swap an ls into a mustang.
I prefer a nissan 240sx

HELL YEAH!!!! Mustangs are just so damn common, if I'm going to stick an LS series motor into something, it better be damn weird and obscure. Thinking that my 2wd Toyota truck would make a good swap candidate, since it weighs about as much as a 1/2 full beer can.

I got a 85 ls fox and it is awsome, can not tell you how many Ford people think it is a mod motor before I point it out.

I am in process of collecting parts to swap a baby ls 4.8 into my 52 studebaker commander starlight.

thats funny ^^ when I was at a car meet standing a few feet away I heard 2 guys arguing about my motor. 1 guy said it was a mod motor and the other guy swore up and down its the new Coyote motor. After a few minutes I walked buy and told them nope your both wrong its the Road Runner motor as the coyote can never catch the Roadrunner and I just walked away

Around here most fox bodies have plain ole SBC's but I def seems to be a lot of LS fox's on this site. I think its just gonna be whatever the latest version of the SBC is for the most part. I had a TPI elcamino in the early 90's and my brother-in-law still has his LT1 jeep. My S-10 got a 5.3 in it after it blew its 3rd head gasket, but I'm a HUGE fan of cheap! As soon as GM comes out with a new style engine we're all gonna look like we've got disco era cars. I might go ahead and paint a big *** multi-colored stripe on the side of my truck so I'm ahead of the curve in something! Lol!

Any track times with your setup?

Don't see the bone stock swap very often. Are you running 5th gen camaro exhaust manifolds or ???
