Im gonna mock up something kinda radical for the exhaust first and see how it looks but if that doesnt work the way I want then it will be a fairly OEM style exhaust with ultraquiet high flow mufflers

Guess there's a few of us now... I just bought a very complete 1999 LS1+T56 pull out today locally for my 1995 SC400. Making my own mounts too like you.
I mean no disrespect to that one company, but paying 1/2 of what I did for the pull out for just 3 mounts is sillyness. I've got a bandsaw, a MIG and a TIG and plenty of time in my life.

I went ahead and ordered the engine plates off www.PatParts.com that were cheap and should help save a little time. Might come in handy for you and i'll be sure to post how they workout for me

That valve is pretty trick!
Thanks for the tip on the plates, that will save some time for sure. Are you planning on reusing the stock style rubber mount like me? I basically just want to make a mount from the motor that lays into the stock rubber mounts. That appears to be what DGR did too.

I plan on keeping a/c. I wouldn't mind keeping powersteering but I will see if it's worth it v.s. keeping the engine bay nice and clean.
Got everything worked out in my mind now just waiting to get back to town to start making it happen

Sorry for the lack of progress pics. I have been staying busy out of town for about 4 and a half months now and Irene is going to keep it that way for at least a couple more.
Motor is at the machine shop. Comp shaft mounted rockers, springs, retainers, ARP head studs, all cometic top and bottom end gaskets, and come other odds and ends are ordered and dropped off at the shop to keep things going while I'm gone.
Here are my BC coilovers that came in and my cousin sent me a pic at least lol
