Default aje fox k member help...

has anyone used extra washers in between the control arms and k member..reason asking is while wreching down bolts on the control arms the burgandy spacer or o ring kind of thing thats sits in the round part of the k started to space out and is now visable...just dont look rite....help

o ya using a non aje tubuler control arms...can that cause this to happin

I just installed mine the other night, I didn't use any washers that weren't with the kit. I just tightened as far as I could with a 1/2 ratchet. Isn't the spacer you're talking about a poly bushing of sorts??

Ahh, there's the difference I used the AJE arms on mine.

yes its a ploly bushing...so is that the spacer that there talking about thats is supposed tightin up while tightining up the control arms..

the thing about this is the aje allows stock control arms to be used also and these were off a stock k member....but tubuler ...

I sent pics to AJE when I first put mine on, they said it was normal for them to do that.

were talking about that redish poly bushing rite.....it only did that on one side of on control arm...did you tork your stuff down to a certian pressure

Yeah, the bushings kind of pull out when you tighten them down. I can't remember what I torqued them to.

Those bushings are desigened to do this to allow for different width of bushings on the control arms.

cool thanks...did you torque your control arms down...i just dont know
how much play to leave on the control arm..

You have the k member with the bolts and nyloc nuts. Sung them so the control arm moves freely and also use red loctite. You don't want the front end bound up.

I have control arms with rod ends so not a issue with mine.

I have done one the other way before with no issues.

Just put mine in today and they did that as well, couldnt get them any tighter but they werent going anywhere. I think your good to go.

Ya, I cranked mine down to forearm ft lbs. I think they'll be fine.

same here i just left them loose enough to have some good swingish up and down.......install complete......do we use motor mounts or do we bolt block straight to frame mounts...
