Man photobucket can lick my *****. It's a good thing I didn't put more pics in this thread because I just replaced all the links with imgur links.
I drive the GTA a lot as is. I'm working in Afghanistan again, so I bought a bunch of parts to play with while I was home last summer.
I wanted Speed Engineering's headers for my 01 TA, 00 Silverado, and 69 Firebird. They didn't have a 3rd gen set at the time, so I bought a 2nd gen set to see if I could make them fit, and talked them into a discount for all 4 sets.
Attachment 719321
I managed to make the 2nd gen set fit. I had to modify the passenger collector and frame rail

But before I built a y pipe they came out with their 3rd gen set. They tuck up higher so that's nice.

So I was just home and wanted to put these headers in and build a y pipe. I need a good pipe expander so I bought Lisle's kit. Ordered a couple 3" bends and some pipe.
Expanding one of the bends to fit over the header collector

It's a little slow going on stainless but it worked well. A hose clamp works good for marking a cut line on a bend

I need to get a real bandsaw but my portable one clamped in a vise works ok

My tig welding skills suck. I used too thick of a filler on the header I modified and it looks like dog doo. I figured out I needed a smaller filler and these welds came out much better

Trying to figure out how to route it

I tied 3" pipes into a 4" and stepped it down at the rear to connect to the rest of the cat back

Ground clearance is good

I also put a Momo wheel and a Hinson shifter in it. This wheel is too small, I didn't realize what diameter it was when I ordered it. I like the look though.
The shifter is nice, but the handle is too short so I'll lengthen it. I honestly like my MGW better and it's cheaper

I decided to pick up an IROC. Looked for a couple months and finally had a buddy go get this one in MT.
