I purchased a harness and ecm from Jon at PSI last year. At first there were some minor problems with the harness almost exclusively due to it being a 2009 truck motor with lots of changes from earlier GenIV harnesses. Once I contacted Jon about differences he immediately sent the correct components. I was capable of changing the connectors myself so it was not necessary to return the harness, however Jon offered to do it. After the startup I had trouble with a transmission compatibility problem that had nothing to with the components from PSI. When I was trying to determine my true issue Jon was answering my emails and phone calls regularly and even sent a spare ecm to try at no charge. I am a true supporter of PSI and Jon. I know there are companies out there that have similar products and prices, but if you spend your money on PSI products I am sure that you will get more than what you pay for when you need help(which happens a lot).

Is there any interest in a harness offered without any loom? This can be done in the near future, and the split snakeskin powerbraid can be DIY.

I'd be interested in that. Is there any reason you don't care to offer this an option though? Do you feel it is a sub-par product?

Boost, we dont think it is a subpar product by any means, but without getting into too many details..... it is a matter of fitting it into our manufacturing process and longterm performance of the product. Note that the snakeskin is most commonly used in aerospace applications which have a different working environment than the underhood of a car where OEM split loom has been proven to stand the test of time. We are in the process of seeing how we can integrate it into our mfg process and will have more info soon. If the DIY option is something people would like, that may be a quick viable option.

just purchased a harness from Jon @ PSI ... i had a ton of requests and changes to make he talked me through everything

LS1 t56 harness with drive by cable

5 wire maf
LS3 intake (map in front), injectors and heads on a 418 6.0 stroker 24x
relocated alternator to passenger side
moved the coil plug behind the heads (used single coils mounted on valve covers)
drive by cable throttle body
t56 trans

i will post sum pics when the harness gets here

idea for wire covering... i think the heat shrink will look very good just dont know about the abrasion resistance and how it will stand up to hot and cold cycles over a loooong period of time but it would be my first choice as an alternative to split loom.. just a thought????
