Great car, this is going to be awesome.

When you pop that hood it's going to look like there is a tiny lawnmower engine in that gargantuan engine bay.

I know, a Toyota in a Mustang... what was I thinking. It should make for a fun weekend toy on E85, while I work on the Caddy.
:eek 2:
DAAAAYUMN, now THAT is BAD-***. Unique for sure. Like that 6? Camaro that had the 2JZ in it, very cool.

I have had like 13 mustangs.... ranging from stock 5.0's to SVO turbo 4 cyl cars, to an 800hp F2 ProCharged 4.6L.... However this is my first one to have a "none Ford" motor in it.

I saw a truck 6.0 in a 59 caddy last sept at the car show here in town, the guy is out if enid oklahoma. That motor looked like it was meant for the caddy, he used truck accessories, and even the motor mounts and mounting plates from the frame. I heard him tell another guy that asked that the ol caddy weighed 9000lbs WOW I would have never guessed that one

Start with the 4L80E and never look back. You will be wasting your money with the other trans as your car is a tank.

There is a local guy with a Chrysler Coronet convertible and a 6BT Dodge cummins setup. Lots of fab work but it is very close to hitting the paint booth. Makes 600rwhp/1000rwtq+.

Mine weights nowhere NEAR 9000lbs... lol.
I think people would be suprised at how little this car tips the scales at.

With the stock 46 year old motor, she still would knock down 15mpgs on the highway last year. And has NO issues pulling out in traffic... when they rated the stock motor at 485ftlbs of TQ, I have to admit... they might not have been 100% correct. But it wasn't a turd I will tell you that.

Weather is finally starting to be nice here, and I think this weekend will be a good progress weekend.

I've always wanted a 63/64 coupe. I was hoping to get a 63 with the 390, that way I could swap in a 3.9" stroked LS1.

Someday... Until then, I'll be watching this. A lot.

Ive got a conv 64 deville project im getting ready to drop a 98 LS-1 and 4L60 into as well...any advice on getting started as far as motor mounts, fuel tank/systems, or cooling? It seems as though finding companies out there in the aftermarket world for our cars is next to impossible! Thanks Tyson
