Sorry for the no update!

I lost my Job back in may of 2011, and had to put build on back burner

Thankfully I go a new Job, I have started the biuld backup again

I removed VVT, and installed LS9 Cam + Gear + LS2 front cover. I also installed LH8 oil pan kit.

Here is some updated picks:

Taped Head for NPT Temp Gauge

I will use the truck intake for now, but will switch to ls3 intake later.

Transdapt LS Adapter Plates & LH8 Oil Pan. The pan looks like it hangs to low!

Thats it for now, I will post more when I drop it in the frame.

Good deal. Truck intake won't fit without cutting the cowl FYI.

I am not sure yet, what cross member to use. I was going to get the motor in first then do some measuring to see where the stock cross member sits.

I ran into a snag with the transdapt motor mounts, the factory lt1 motor mounts are offset ( passenger is back farther then drivers side ), so I am going to have to move the frame mounts on one side back or forward to line them up or get different mounts.

If anyone has some info on the motor mounts let me know.

Here is a picture of the motor mounts on the frame:

Looking good, trust me I know it can take time doing it off and on, saving up money for that next costly piece you see no way of doing without, waiting for the machine or fab shop to make that special adapter or whatever... I spent 6 years getting mine to the point it's at now and I just finally took the seats out today for reupholstery. This is the last major expense and I was also motivated to because I've been invited to the big Mopar show here in Minnesota so I get in for free and it sits inside all weekend. This years attraction is the Charger from 66-present and mine is the only example of what the 81-83 Charger 2.2 looks like. The president of the Mopar club just said"you might want to keep the hood closed. If it was any other show leave the hood up but it's probably best you leave it down" haha. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/333013...-dodge-charger

The LH8 pan will hang unprotected below the crossmember. Kinda like going to play football with no pads or cup...just hanging out waiting to be crushed. Also, youll want something that flows better than the stock pump. Go for a Walbro 255lph pump, and the upgraded harness. Depending on what rail youre running, get yourself a vette filter/reg for a "returnless" setup. I dont remember which mount needed to be moved where, but i can check. I think the drivers side is the oddball. Throw some poly mounts in while youre down there.

You could just use the S & P mounts. No work needed just bolt and go. Also, I was referring to the area near the firewall as to why the intake wont fit. It will have to be cut.

I will have to work on the oil pan, it's diffently problem!

As far as the fuel pump goes, the E3270 flows just fine for my setup.

E3270 Specs:

Flow = 50-60 GPH & PSI = 80-90

At min is good for 600hp

At best is good for 700hp

Since I will only be in the 450hp range, I should be fine.

I have the vette reg , that is the wix part #33737

I will be using the energy suspension poly mounts

Thanks

Are they already offset?, do they put the engine at stock location or 1" setback?

How much do I have to cut?

Thanks

Stock location. I already had a T56 setup with my LT1 and when I installed my LY6 the transmission (converted to Ls style) bolted right up to my existing crossmember.

Ok bhop42 that's good to Know.

This weekend I am going to remove the frame mounts and bolt them to my block, then bolt up the 4l80e, and set the whole assembly on the frame to see where my engine & tranny mounts locations are.

Bhop42:
Did you use the original crossmember with the t56?

It looks like the t56 and 4l80e have close to the same dimensions to where they mount to the crossmember.

I was under the impression that the LH8 oil pan was the only one that fit. I never realized that it hangs way to low. AFAIK any other oil pan needs to be cut up to clear the crossmember. This is where I was going to get my engine mounts and crossmember but im not sure if the 4l80e will bolt up. http://www.brphotrods.com/mm5/mercha...gory_Code=CNV5

I got my russell fuel fittings in but got this one by mistake:

I should of got 640940 but got 644020 instead. Is there away to make the 644020 work?

I am thinking I need a reverse flare to an adapter, but not sure.

I am using aeroquip -6 an sockless hose, and ends. With russell quick connect to -6 an adapters.

Thanks

I got the frame mounts removed and separated, what a pain in the ***!

They don't give you much room to get at the bottom bolts!

Here some pic's

Clamshells separated with old rubber mounts & new energy suspension poly mounts, you can see that the poly ones are a lot wider.

The trany mount I got is not going to work with the tailshaft housing I have.

I think I need a tailshaft from a standered 2wd 4L80E. The one I have had the parking brake on it, and the mounting bolts are to far apart.

If anyone has some info on tailshaft housing, please let me know.

Thanks
