Default Missing Parts. Should I go Carb or stick with FI ?

I have an LS1 in a '55 Buick. I don't have a harness, PCM or MAF.

It seems like the PSI harness is a good mix of value and quality. Do I just need a MAF and PCM? Anything else big I'm not thinking of?

At that point, would it be significanty easier or cheaper to go the Edelbrock / MSD carb route?

Thanks,
Eric

if you go carb, get the msd box.
the edelbrock box does not have a rev limiter, and is not able to be tuned by the user.

You don't have to have a MAF you could tune for Speed Density and leave it out. And you can get PCM for cheap on fleabay etc...

A used harness can be found as well if you do some searching then have it modified. Or spend the money on one ready to go.

If you go carb you'll need a intake, carb, fuel pump, and ignition system. It adds up pretty quick.

Thanks. I'll look into the Speed Density.

I need a fuel system either way, so that's a wash. The intake carb and MSD is about $1000.00. The harness is like $500, so it seems like even getting a PCM and tuned, it might even be cheaper. I'd rather stick with the FI even if it was a little more.

You should be able to pick up an f-body maf for $75 bucks at a yard.
