Default 5.3l cranking problem

Swap a 5.3l engine into a 84 chevy caprice coupe. Purchased a harness from PSI to wire up. It comes with it's own fuse block. Got battery power and ignition power at block. Engine turns but won't start. I checked injectors with ohm meter. It shows 11 for all eight. Any info would be awesome.

I'm not trying to sound mocking, but are you sure you're getting fuel?

I purchased the computer from PSI also an the they removed VATS. I did remove the fuel line from rail and turned the switch to see if I was getting fuel to the front. Also the engine has sat for at least 7 months could injectors be clogged.

I just had this problem. If you have a pulse at the injectors then the injectors are plugged. mine were plugged. Pulled one out and it stunk bad like varnish. put in some different injectors and she fired right up.

Thanks for the info the motor has been out the donor body for 7 months. I think I read somewhere that the injectors go bad if the motor is not ran for at least 6 months.

condemn the injs, try a noid lite to see if they are being pulsed. Just because there's voltage there, does not mean the pcm is triggering them...

If the injectors aren't being pulsed, make sure you have the wire to the pcm that has to be hot in crank and run connected to a circuit that is hot in crank and run. Like the old ignition coil power wire.
