Got f-bodys on my 71 chevelle and I am very happy with the fit. Like bczee said the driver side points toward the outside of the car and is a little awkward. I have about 1/4" between the pass side and the frame. Driver side no problem. I do have my engine set very far back, if it moved up then you might have some issues with the lower control arm mount. Also I am using pacesetter off-road headers and the banged up tubes on the pass were already like that when I got them and have since been fixed (may also be part of the frame clearance). Heres some pics.

I'm also one of the folks using F-body headers on a '69 442 with a 6.0L.

You should be just fine with them...very easy to put in!

I am runnin the lh8/h3 pan. Don't like it. Hangs too low. The headers I got came from a guy trying to put them on a 80 Monte. He couldn't get them to fit.

should of re-worded that..... i have LS running already with f-body pan no problems for couple of years. im currently running stock manifolds due to fact that i can drop my car basically to floor, where crossmember touches ground. i would like to finally throw headers in, but they cannot be lower than an f-body pan(if thats possible haha)
