F Body Pan FYI

I just picked up my new f body pan and components so thought I'd pass what I found along. First off it looks like a couple of hours to de-burr the Windage Trey edges and pan interior its a pretty rough casting, feels like weld splater thoughout the pan interior and the exterior would draw blood if your not carefull. The Dip Stick is pieced together about 10 " from the bottom I guess its a one size fits all untill it gos out the door for a specific model, two small rivets hold them together.
What I did not know was that the pan comes w/a gasket & all bolts to fasten to the block and the pickup tube comes w/ the O-ring for the oil pump. I guess my parts buddy did not know this because I ordered these parts aswell with my pan, looks like I have some spares but it would have saved me 30 bucks.
I got all my part numbers from the Sticky so they are correct. I have a friend that is a GM parts manager so I feel I got a good price $316 and change so I am pleased with that.
Now all I have to do is find someone who needs a TB/SS 4wd Pan and I''ll be set !!!

$175 for the part, then they whack you $175 for the shipping. gmpartsdirect charges outrageous amounts of money for shipping. I learned that the hard way, I'll never order anything from them again.

Not sure if you are aware, but that pan takes an LS3 oil filter. Found that out after multiple trips to the parts store.
FWIW, my pan kit cost $256 for the pan, windage and pickup or about 10% over GM parts direct minus the shipping costs because it's local. Just have a chat with the parts guy about what you're doing and if you're not a total jerk they usually help you out
I went new from the dealer after getting pissed off from used pans being +$200 and then add shipping
