TH-400 users come in! VSS
TH-400 users come in! VSS what does the vss tell the computer? i understand vehicle speed. is it only used for the speedo. i have a cable speedo now and dont want to change. i heard that sometimes you will get stalling issues when coming to a stop might be a problem? im using the PSI harness and HP tuners. i searched and can not find anything but opinions.
Some people have had stalling issues and some people have been fine without it. It's like taking a shot in the dark. If you have issues there are a few places that sell a vss that will screw onto the tranny and then you connect the speedo cable to it. It's called a pass through vss. Dakota Digital and Jags That Run both have them, and probably other vendors also. Here is a link for Dakota Digital. You need the SEN-01-4160.

I have a TH400 and no VSS. I am having issues with stalling when I come to a stop. I have to keep my foot on the gas just a little. Not sure what to do at this point. I have the factory spedo cable in my car 81 Trans Am.
