The headers were from cxracing
Just fyi, I too have a set of cx racing headers I was going to use. Then I realized that they are only 1 5/8" primary's. The guy over at ls1rx8 says he is working on a set of full lengths with 1 7/8" primarys that will also work with auto trannys.
Now I just have to find someone to buy my cxracing headers lol.
Finally am ~finished with the car. Its running and driving, just needs a tune and minor things here or there. Working on getting a lengthy update together...but in the mean time enjoy the eye candy! Bottom: Where it started...Top:Where it finsihed!
Finally got around to getting some shorter poly mounts for my setup. I never liked how the motor sat up, with the stock C5 engine mounts, so I got some shorter poly mounts from Hinson. The motor sits down low, and looks WAY better now. Also I went ahead and gambled on some long tube headers......and they fit great! I'm super pumped..they look fantastic, and fit like a dream!
I couldn't be more pleased with the headers...which also means the old set of shorties I had, that were never used are for sale! PM me if interested.
Also I have 2 sets of the stock C5 engine mounts that I no longer need...
Hopefully this week/weekend I will be able to get the fuel system straightened out, and all mounted, as well as a few other lingering items!

I was wanting to know what brand long tube header he used for the rx8 ls swap
I used a set from CX racing. The drivers side didn’t fit perfect, and I ended up having to ever so slightly notch/grind down an ~1/8 of an inch at most of material from the drivers side motor mount (technically the pedestal the mount bolts too) to get it to fit where I was comfortable it wasn’t going to touch as it naturally expands when hot, or from the vibration ect. For the price though I love them, and glad I picked up a set.
