T56 Wiring harness question

T56 Wiring harness question
I want to run a T56 behind my 5.3 but finances may force me to run a TH400 for awhile. As far as the wiring harness goes, what exactly would the harness to a T56 incorporate? Would it be something I would be able to ad to my harness later or does the T56 even have any input to the computer at all? This is a 2001 5.3, I am planning on modifying the stock wiring harness. Thanks!

VSS sensor is located in the tail housing left side. not hard to find.
For the skipshift.. you can wire in the brake pedal or use a seperate switch, I use a linelock switch on my shifter.
if you don't use it.. it will be hard to shift into reverse. You can always remove it and plug the hole. but then you rise the chance of shifting into reverse while up or down shifting into/out of 5th gear. Not a good picture doing that at speed.

Here is a good pic of the Reverse Lockout Solenoid, and the VSS right below it..
That plug in the side is where the Skip Shift Solenoid wouldve went.
