Fbodys are cheap especially if they are not coated but if they dont fit then they are not worth it. But if you are on a big budget buy the fbodies and try them but dont wreck them and you can sell them. or find a used set of fbody headers.

2001 ls1 which i put in a ls6 cam and ls6 heads, its in a 86 elcamino choo choo custom. Did the swap about 2 years ago and took me a year to do it. Was not in a hurry and being from chicago its hard to work in the winter unless you keep the heat on all the time in the garage.
Its snowing right now very lightly in chicago right now, seems like it never ends!

I heard they sell them in 2" primarys what size are yours I really don't care for ceramic but if trays all they sell them in ill just have to buy them. I was thinking bout putting the rusty manifolds on but come on we all know ill be choking the hell out the motor lol.
I spent $650 on them, $33 on the Motor Mount Adapter Plates, and $160 on the Jegs Crossmember, and it was in the car setup with the T56..Auto will be alot easier.
So for under $850 it was in my car, then add another $150 for the GM Muscle Car Oil Pan Kit from the Dealership. I had to put that on instead of using my F-body Pan.
BRP makes good stuff, but IMO the Motor Mount kit isnt needed to buy..$33 Plates and the stock Clamshells did it.

If I were going to do it all over again, I'd probably skip out on the BRP stuff, except maybe for the headers. It was something close to $500 for a set of really nice motor mounts, and a crappy fitting trans crossmember. The mounts raise the engine up, which is nice for ground clearance, but for $500 I'd go the cheaper route.
For the headers, again, I'd rather NOT choose what I bought and go with the BRP headers. The F-body headers are a tight fit with BRP mounts. I'll have to adjust them with the hammer to get them to fit right. With around $3,500 left of parts to buy for the car, I think I'll stick with them until everything else is buttoned up.
I'm using the CTS-V pan and it actually looks like it will clear everything pretty nicely. I'll know for sure whenever my 2nd trans crossmember gets here
