Default ls engine w sbc radiator?

I have an aluminum 4 core with a mark 8 fan that was in my 68 hooked up to my gen 1 383. Ran ice cold. Can I use it on my lq4? What hoses do I need?

You can use it, but matching up hoses is going to require a little work, but see if the original hoses will fit first then look into others. There was another thread similar to yours where a guy was asking what hoses. I suggest that you measure the distance between the pumps outlets and the radiators, be sure to take note of the degree of any bends, then look on rockauto.com website at the various gen3&4 equipped vehicles water pump hoses. Rockautos website has actual pics of the hoses and they list the length also.
I only meant for Rockautos website to be used as a reference and then get the actual part from your local store, I'm not a fan of waiting on parts delivery myself.

You can use it for sure, I used my sbc rad. on my swap. Yea do the measuring and head over to your local parts place and dig around in the hose section for the ones you can get to work. Beats waiting on ordered ones that may not fit as you hoped. Good luck

You'll be fine, I would not spend $$$ for another radiator when you can find and buy hoses for $10-$20..... Truth is the Double pass LS radiators they are selling are really not the best for a street application.. Several radiator professionals have confirmed this, but people do it anyway, most for cosmetics.

I used my BBC Alum radiator from summit... works fine, no cooling issues 6000+miles later... At autozone check out XL183, XL 184,XL185 for hoses..

Bend a coathanger in the form and length you need, and take it to the parts store and compare.

This tool lets you search your part store inventory from home

http://www.accessdayco.com/dimensional-lookup

Gates has a similar one but they want you to register in order to download a PDF catalog.
