Default Ls1/t56 clutch issues need help

I'm currently in the final stages of my swap into my 71 nova and I've seem to hit a snag with the hydraulic clutch system..

Symptoms are basically the clutch pedal will not depress at all what so ever, almost to the point where the pedal flexes a bit!!!

Clutch system includedes
Spec stage 5 clutch
Wilwood m/c 3/4 bore with 1" of stroke
Oem recplacement slave cylinder
-4an quick dissconnect line

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, I'd like to get this things on the road

Is the problem hydraulic or mechanical? Try pulling the slave cylinder off with the hydraulic line still connected and see if the pedal strokes OK...

Try to loosen the bleeder to see if it is in the hydrualics or if it is mechanical. If you loosen the bleeder and the pedal moves freely than its a hydraulic problem if the pedal is still tight once the bleeder is open than it is mechanical.

I did that and it did stroke fine, I thought it could have something to do with the spacer spec includes in the clutch kit but I put the slave in with it and without and same result

I did that and it does move freely with the bladder open so where do I try and troubleshoot to find the problem

Default Pressure plate

Its easy to do, and from the sound of some of the tests you have done, but are you sure you the clutch disc plate is not installed backwards?

Have you used the hydraulics to engage the slave out of the car. Just curious if the slave is bad. There should also be some freeplay between the bearing and the fingers. What transmissionare you using?

A common error is the clutch disc maybe installed "flywheel side" out.

With everything installed, can you get a mirror and a light and peek at whats going on while someone tries to depress the pedal?

Do you have an LT1 or LS1 T56 flywheel? I know the length of the input shafts are different so I assume the flywheel would also be different. Just a thought. Clutch assembly for an LS1?

Yea the disc is installed correctly I even took pictures and sent them to spec to varify that there was no mistake on the lableing of the disc,

The flywheel is a ls1 billet fidanza flywheel but I will try to get a mirror and light to see what's going on, thanks for the advice and help

Sorry I cant be of any more help. You have an odd situation there. I just cant visualize why the slave is in a bind if it moves freely on its own unless the pressure plate is damaged or in a bind somehow. Good luck to you and dont forget to post the solution once found.
