Default Best oil pan for 66 Chevelle - Autokraft, Mast, Holley??

I was planning to use the Autokraft pan, but I'm interested in the new Mast and Holley pan. My only concern is that if I have issues withe tie rod clearance, the cast pans won't be as easily adjusted (i.e. dented) to provide the necessary clearance.

I'm using Edelbrock mounts and headers, but I'm curious if there's enough people using the pans on early A-bodies to say whether the Mast and Holley pans have issues with tie rod clearances.

Thanks,
Kerry

Using an autokraft on my 66' four door. The tie rods still contact the pan slightly lock to lock but with the mounts I am using the engine sits high in the engine compartment. I am using the factory offset frame pads but relocated them about an inch back from the factory location. I also used dirty dingo slider mounts and the offset pads to allow installation of the 4L80 without having to cut the trans tunnel out of the car. It still needed work though.

Good luck with your project.

I have the edelbrock headers and mounts with mast pan in my 66 chevelle. I had to put 1/4" spacers between the stands and the frame in order to clear the tie rods.

Thanks for the replies!! It appears all pans have some interference on early A-bodies.

My tie rods hit my pan at full lock and it's kind of dented my pan, which is fine but I don't want it to keep hitting. Is there an aftermarket setup that will address this?

Wrong thread? Covers do look good though. Body color would be nice, white letters maybe.
