Glide vs th350
I am aware that this topic has been kicked all around in every forum on the interwebz so don't flame me too hard! Got an 86 foxbody with a 5.3 carb and cam, 6ls and some spray on it. But I'm torn between transmission options. Anyone had any experience witha glide in a foxbody/lsx conversion. Which ever I go with will be manual vb and a brake and all that so those aren't factors. Street drivabilty should be the same. So I guess just state your opinions and why one would be better than the other for my application........

If you are going to bump the horsepower up substantially I would run the glide however a TH350 will ET better with under 650hp IMO.
"Is one harder on an engine than another?"
You haven't mentioned what size stall your going to run. That will factor in as well. TH350's with Manual Valve Bodies and fairly tight stalls or a lot of horsepower can break the case. PG's shock everything a little less.

If you're running a power level that will keep the 350 alive, run the 350. The extra gear will improve drivability. If you're running more power than it can handle, go to the glide if it's not seeing much street use.
