Default where to get MAF sensor?

Where can I get a MAF sensor? I have an ls6 intake on a LQ9. I do not know much about MAF sensor's. Is there a diference b/t a ls1 & ls6 MAF?
Thanks,
Brandon

Two main flavors of MAFs for conversions. Ignoring the uncommon card styles for newer engines

Stock LS1 3 wires are 75mm, super common on LT1/LS1/vortec trucks, lots of newer FWD cars etc

LSx trucks are 5 wire 85mm, never corvettes, newer northstars etc

For a stock/mild swap a super common 3 wire MAF is plenty

If using a truck harness then you will need the truck maf because it has the iat integrated in the maf connector.

Obviously, noone's answered your real question. But I agree, stick with the 5-wire maf your harness is wired for.

You can check the local yard. Try using www.car-part.com.
My swap included a MAF. I just ended up buying my accel pedal
via gmpartsdirect.com cause I got tired of talking to the great customer service at the local yards. I had also searched everywhere online.
A MAF should be easier to come buy.

Good luck.

I need to figure out the same thing; my 2010 truck 6.0 MAF was hopelessly crushed in the wreck. I can tell you Rockauto is the cheapest (or one of the online GM places @ ~$60 for mine). I am still just trying to figure out if I can get a shorter MAF that would work for me to give me more flexible mounting arrangements. If anybody knows of another option than stock plz post it.

Get the MAF for your harness and ecu. They're not very expensive (not wort a trip to the junkyard for me), try Autozone, or Rock Auto.

I agree - I also want reliability and getting one from the 'yard isn't the best way to acquire fragile electronics in good running order. For the extra cash of new I would rather not chase potential problems of used on a part like that.

Interesting thread. I got my '01 LM7 from LKQ, and it did not include a MAF. I'm nowhere near having my swap running yet, but for now I've just been using a '96 Astro L35 MAF for mockup and layout purposes. I was planning to just order a SUM-29006B-C when the time comes.

It is a PSI harness. car (ls6 Intake with truck throttle body) & truck injectors. I think I will need the car MAF. I have seen some on here for sale. Will one for an ls1 fit on a ls6? I went to Auto Zone, but they wanted a $50 core charge.

Thanks Pocket,
Will the LS 1 3 wires fit on a truck trottle body?
Does not sound like it. I am 30 minutes away from my car, & did not measure. I assume it is 85mm, but I will measure to be sure.

I had my Dad check. It is a 5 wire plug & the throttle body opening is nearly 4".
So, I guess I need the 5 wires 85mm truck MAF.

Where did you find 1 for $60? I checked rockauto, autozone, advance, napa, & some others. The cheapest i have found is $120. I do not have a core to trade in.

Just FYI this part is a sensor that bolts into the appropriate tubing. It does not include the tube or any associated parts. Like this one but shaped differently
