Umm..Remove plugs and fuel pump fuse and crank for a bit, might be real flooded. Then put everything back and retry.."scratching my head as well". Maybe remove intake hose to the throttle body when u try again.

injector plugs crossed?,if it was working and now you getting some type of backfire it sounds like the firing would be out of order

Default Spark Plugs

It doesnt make sense if you have compression, fuel and spark it should at least be popping and farting, I know you said you checked the plugs but I have had a similar situation where the engine I was working on was in the same situation as you are in. A old mechanic friend suggested new plugs and I said the same thing the old ones have a spark that looks ok, and I was sure the plugs were not the problem, well for ***** and grins I installed new plugs and it fired right away, I dont know why but that did the trick I am still scratching my head to this day and give props to my old mechanic friend.

Try some ether. If it lights off you will know that its a fuel issue. (carb cleaner also works well and is a little less volatile)

It's gotta be a fuel issue cause you KNOW its getting spark. If it was getting any fuel it would be doing SOMETHING. Possible injector driver in the ecm? No you said your getting signal. which most likely eliminates wiring. What about your fuel pressure? When I worked at the dealer I had a car come in on the hook and it would start with the carhart cleaner so I knew it was fuel checked the fuel pressure and it was good all the injectors were good wiring and fuses all. Then one of the old guys had me check the fuel pressure while cranking and it would drop. It turned out that the fuel pump was bad and could not support the engine with the available power during cranking.

Maybe this helps I don't know just thinkin out loud maybe something will come of it.

I will try ether maybe today if I can before work. I checked the orange wires off the ecm. They are getting constant 12volt and maintain when cranking and key on. Pink wires alll see 12v with key on and 10volts while cranking, so that seems fine.

Is it possible your out of fuel. What pump setup are you runnin. Just thought of this, I have the new style gto tank/pump in my Chevelle. I started it one day two days later went out cranked it it coughed then nothin started checking stuff out figured out no fuel and when I pulled the pump out the little flapper valve that let's the bucket fill up with fuel was stuck. Freed it up and has worked every since.

I have a fuel cell in the back with a A1000 feeding -10 line to a aeromotive reg, -8 feeding the rails, -8 return off the reg. I pulled the line off feeding the rails(after the reg) and it is pumping well. I do have fuel, One more thing to cross offf the list lol.

Ok just got off the phone with my buddy. Are you running a speed density tune? He was almost certain the it is the gap you have between your throttle body and intake. Because the map sensor is not seeing any vacuum during cranking it does not know how long to pulse the injector and thinks your in "clear/flood" mode. Get that taken care of first then see where you are. Also you should be able to shoot some ether in it still and make sure it will light off.

****** eh dude. Sounds about right, the TB is a brutal leak. I have a gasket being made up as we speak to fix the issue. I am up north for work right now, I fly home next friday and will let you guys know once I get that spacer in there.

It makes sense!!!!! everything else is there.

I may have a couple ports not plugged on the intake either. lol
