Default weird issue...

Sooo I had to pull alot of the harness off the engine in order to put my new proflo intake on. Now I put everything back on and go to fire.... All I get is popping and farting out of the passenger bank. Check spark, getting that, checked fuel, getting that(60psi), dbw throttle is working, car cranks fine. I pulled each coil plug off and injector plug and verified they are making it back to the ecu. confirming no broken wires.

Any thoughts? This thing ran a month ago before I did the intake swap, I drove it around the block, all was well.

I'm stumped and pisssed off now. uggh

before I buy a new harness or hang myself.... I get a rpm signal through hp tuners when cranking, bout 160 rpm. All of the sensors are reading when I log.

TB works,

I get spark when I pull a wire and put a plug and ground it.

The plugs are wet

My fuel pressure is 60lbs

it will crank all day but no pop stutter or anything.

any ideas?

crank and cam sensors working ok? no bent pins at pcm?

you have spark, maybe coils swapped on cylinders?

try spraying starting fluid/gas in to see if your getting fuel? noid light to see if injectors are opening?

its gotta be something simple. fuses?

have any pics of the intake swap?( have same one going on chevelle soon)

I am not sure how to check if those crank and cam sensors are working fine. No bent pins on the pcm.

I will check for the hell of it if the coil harness is swapped, I dont think it would matter, it would atleast pop wouldn't it?

I will get a noid light and try that, the plugs I pulled are wet though.

I've checked all fuses :S

Here is a quick pic.

just check the harness grounds at the blue connector, 1, 24, 27, 40, 64, 67 are all telling me from the ohm meter that they are grounded when I connect a lead to that pin and the block. On the green connector 1, 40 also tell me they are grounded. These are the only ground pinouts I am finding with the pinouts posted for my harness, 2003 3500hd 6.0l/4l80e

well if it has spark, fuel and air, it should do something

spark to plug is good, fuel is good, and it should be getting air, shouldnt be flooded? try cranking with TB open for a while?

theres no iac in the DBW, just the throttle blade opening to adjust idle right? i know the edel intake with stock TB with IAc will need a spacer to divert the idle air flow.

thats what I thought, it has it all to run but still nudda.

It is dbw and no iac. I wonder about the last part thought with thie intake... It should still fire though, even when I play with the pedal I get nothing

Maybe check to make sure you are getting a signal at crank sensor near starter. inspect wiring and connector?

if plugs are wet, i think it may be flooded then, only reasonable answer at this point, if spark and fuel are good.

When you said that you checked your spark was that with a plug from the engine or just another plug you had. I think the first thing I would do is to pull all the plugs and clean/dry/replace (which ever is necessary to be sure they are in operating condition) them. Then while you have them out crank it for a bit to make sure you are getting fuel.

Only other thing would be compression which you would also be able to tell from cranking with out the plugs.

BTW it looks bad *** anyways.

Yea I was checking with a new plug. I will check with a plug that's in the engine to see if they are too fouled to spark. Also going to check the crank sensor wires tonight. I checked the cam position and they are in the correct location. When I plugged it back in, and cranked the car had a cough then back to just cranking... Hmmm

I would check all the grounds again. My harness had a ground behind the intake and if I missed it , it would not fire.

Are the injectors the ones that were on your motor or did they come with the intake?

If everything else checks out (sensors, fuel, spark) then could be either the injectors are gooped up and leaking or are the wrong flow rate and flooding the engine.

The injectors are mototron 60lbers. I ran this setup for the past 4 years under boost. Just did an intake swap is all, moved some wires and now this. I've check to make sure all of the grounds at the ecu are being grounded at the block so that seems fine.

I checked and it is there, a nice thick braided one. secure with those ground washers.

I just rented a noid light kit and confirmed all injectors are pulsing. Pulled a plug that was in the engine, grounded it and it is sparking strongly.

hmmmmm

Vac leak... There is a gap near the TB and intake, I have a spacer being made up to cover it, however... it should atleast cough/sputter/do something haha.
