The app is on an LQ4, using the truck brkts and a Vette w/p w/spacers.
I am having problems with the belt running over the ft edge of the a/c compressor, and ruining the belt.
I've checked and rechecked the belt/pulley alignment while running and while static. I find no noticeable alignment problems.
The problem seems to occur when I go WFO... Usually after the 2-3rd run. [Shifting at 6K]
NE1 have suggestions????

Here's what info I received.
1. Loosen all bolts, including the compressor bolts.
2. Pull up on the comp pulley, and tighten the 2 bolts going into the head.
3. Then tighten all others.
There has been a change in the tensioner pulley. [Yours is the "early" design if it's a smooth, metal pulley, with no "sides" on it.]
The new design is a smooth pulley w/ sides, and is plastic. Gates pt # 38012. An 18mm washer has to be put on the back side of the pulley so it doesn't hit the tensioner arm. This pulley w/ "guides" on it, will help align the belt onto the compressor.
The new pulley is about $20 from NAPA...
We'll soon know.. It's going back on the road this weekend
