Thermostat leak with mr gasket stat We had a small leak on dads chevelle nothing I was really woried about. Took it appart today and started looking at the stat compaired to the stock one.
The O.D. of the stat with the gasket off is .100 smaller than stock. Fits loose in the housing. The thickness of the o ring installed on that stat is .030 thinner.
I can see why it was leaking.
The stat weighs about 2/3 of a stock one.
Are the stant ones closer to OEM.
