Wiring a single fan. Is this right or am I way off?

Wiring a single fan. Is this right or am I way off?
Here's what I've got:
Single 2850 CFM fan
One Speed Fan (only 2 wires come out of the motor)
PCM Programed as follows:
Fan 1 and Fan 2 are set the same.
Both on at 195 F and both off at 185 F.
If temp is over 225 F both will run for 2 min after shutdown.
Fan relay is triggered by the PCM on the pin for Fan 1 and functions perfectly. The fan comes on at 195 F on my gauge and on a 90 degree day the Jeep runs all day at 210 F or less with no problem.
My issue is that I'm getting a Check Engine Light (CEL) and the fault code P0481 for Fan Circuit 2 Fault.
I assume the fault is being tripped because my Fan 2 wire goes nowhere.
I think I need to put a relay (that controls nothing) between the Fan 2 wire and a 12 + source so the PCM "sees" the relay coil load.
Has anyone run into this issue and solved it this way before?

I might add that changing the PCM settings is the easiest way to fix this issue but the guy that did the programing on my ECM has not returned my calls.

Yeah you could put a relay in there or even just a resistor and it should stop the check engine light.
The bosch relays generally have a 75 ohm coil, but I believe I used a resistor with a 400 ohm coil and I don`t have a check engine light, so if you wire a resistor thats between 75 and 400 ohms in it would do the trick.
