Help please, Hummer pan missing bellhousing to pan bolt boss
Bolted up the GM Hummer (LS1 Muscle car pan) 19212593
http://www.jegs.com/i/GM+Performance...12593/10002/-1
to an 04 LS1 with T56 from a goat.
Normally there are two bolts from the trans bellhousing to the pan. However, this pan does not have a boss for the passenger side bolt. wtf ?
Is this right ? I know the pan is a structural member. When I started to set the engine down on a cradle I noticed some oil leaking out from the front of the bellhousing. wtf again !?
here are some pics - note the dark gray vertical square thing is part of the engine cradle, 1x1 square stock with holes drilled for the bellhousing bolts to go through.
driver side - bolts right up.
pass side - bellhousing to pan - wtf wtf wtf
Anyone use this GM pan w a T56 ???
Edit: Maybe I'm panicking prematurely. I used search, heh, and I see that teh aftermkt sheetmetal pans emit those bolts. So maybe I'm ok. The small oil leak coulda been from hoisting the block w a load leveler.

I used a hummer pan on a swap before and noticed that too. Shouldn`t be an issue as the pan is only considered structural to get the noise/harshness/vibration standards that GM wants. There are plenty of guys running a th400, th350 or 200r4 behind the LS1 which have no provisions for either of the lower bolt holes.
