Is a Fuel Pressure Regulator needed?
Currently the truck runns great and holds 60-70 psi on the rail while running.
My question is, do i need to add a FPR? If i do not add one what are the consequences? could i burn up my FP or something else?
Needed, no - strongly suggested, yes.
I bet you are running rich and don't even know it. The fuel pressure regulator keeps things in line and the entire tune is built around that. In this case 58 PSI is the magic number, higher the engine will run rich and less will make it lean. Too much of either hurts longevity and power.
