I have no idea what the width of the S10 rear is, but since it's leaf spring and easy to swap another rear into....how about an 8.5" ten bolt out of something of similar width...or maybe a little narrower if that suits you? I know 2nd Gen F-body rears are 61" from axle flange to flange. Your driveshaft would bolt right up and you can bolt LT1 rear discs up without changing anything except occasionally having to grind the rotors slightly to fit over the axles' locating hubs. 8.5 parts are pretty cheap and plentiful as well as tough.

The stock Rear in it is 54.25" wide..I'm going to run it as-is. I just picked up an Eaton TrueTrack for it..so that will go in..
That truck doesnt weigh **** and the stock rear in it is 28 Spline Axles like the F-body, they will hold up for what I'm doin.
Here's where it stands at the moment..
Not too much longer and I'll roll the truck into the Garage and drop it in.

Here's tonite's work..
We ran out of beer so it was time to step it up..
Earlier today I cleaned and prepped the Heads..
The Block was cleaned up, Lifters & Trays installed, Cylinders oiled up, GM MLS Head Gaskets were installed, .054" thickness..
And here it sits..
I calculated the Compression to be 10.3:1.
3.895" Bore, 3.62" Stroke, -.007" Deck Height, 0cc Piston, 66.67cc Chambers, stock 241 LS1 Heads.

Thanks guys..it's now the 2nd Kenny..
Here's today's work..
I pulled the truck around to the front of the house and went through it to see what parts I had to work with.
Here is the interior..
It just needs to be cleaned up..that rust is ontop of the paint from all the bolts that were there..it has no door seals in it so water got in it. It'll clean right up. I'll use the stock Gauges and add a Tach. It needs a Heater Core, Seats, Door Springs, and all the HVAC stuff.
Here's all the stuff that came out of it..
I organized it and soon it'll be going together in the Garage..
I got ahold of a 4L60E from a 1999 S10..so that one will be built up for this.
I'm using a empty case for now to mock it all up while it's getting built.

Here's todays work..
I pulled the complete Interior out. The previous owner took out all the HVAC so I re-installed it all..
This truck was originally a heat-only truck, so I had to go to the junk yard and find the Interior components, aswell as the Heat Controls with AC. While I was there I snagged all the required wiring for it and I'll install it when I go through it to wire in the LS1.

I tore into it more..I bolted up my Power Steering box, and removed the Front Spindles and got the 2" Drop Spindles setup to install..the truck doesnt have enough *** in it at the moment for me to compress the Coil Spring with my Jack against the LCA..I'll have to wait till the Engine is in..lol..it lifts off the Jack Stands.
To install the Cal Tracs I have to press a custom Bushing into the front of the Leaf Spring, so they were removed and I'll do that tomorrow. I got my 2" Drop Kit for the rear today and bolted it up to make sure everything fit.
For now I'm rockin a Floating Rear..lol..
