Title says it all...
can an ls1 radiator cool a turbo lq4?
Im putting a big BW turbo into a 67 Camaro. Right now, i have this big shiny BeCool radiator and fan, but the turbo is going to sit right in the way.
So im thinking of try to squueze one of those 1" core ls1 radiators in there which might just fit.
The thing is... i have an LQ4 iron block. so i dont know if the dinky ls1 radiator will cool it... especially with the turbo...
I could just put the turbo over by the battery tray and move the battery to the trunk, but then id have unequal charge pipe lengths. (been told that doesnt matter as much)
thoughts?

As with any cooling system. Air flow is important.. Good fans are a must if you don't have good air flow to the radiator. Also good instalation around the hot parts would help (Wraps and heat shields).
Might suggest a remote Electric Water pump setup to provide you more room for a larger radiator ? I have seen one setup and also seen a kit on the market now (at least one).
I would suspect it would be ok. Depending on how much HP your making, but only one way to findout. Keep us posted ! and good luck with your build.
