1976 nova ss (4th gen) i am new'ish to the site and am doing a 1976 nova ss fully shaved conversion. pics to come soon. i need (motor mounts, engine harness, computer) to complete this swap. i will be tryong my best to keep up to date info on this conversion to help those with 4th gen's complete their own. good luck to you all and any helpflul tips are welcome.

i want to keep a/c and i havent found anyone else that did but i have heard through the grape vine fourth gen novas are extremely similar to 68-69 camaros minus body shape... so i am hoping i will be able to use a lot of the camaro info for the build. i am doing my truck first but i do need a few things for the nova that i would buy for the right price.

got the old and busted 305 out. slapping a 358 and built th350 in for a temp setup since this is my daily driver. might take her down to the dirt track in a couple weeks to have a little fun. local track lets street cars run during intermission on saturdays.

so you have to cut up the frame a little? is there a way to relocate it out of the way to keep from cutting anything?

This isn't true. The 4th gen ('75-'79) Novas share front suspension with the 2nd gen ('70-'81) Camaros. You are thinking of the 3rd gen ('68-'74) Novas which share suspension with the 1st gen ('67-'69) Camaros.

my knowledge was learned through the grapevine so it could have been that much off. i know 3rd and 4th gen novas are not similar when comparing the two side by side. thanks for the heads up though.

i am going to start looking for an aluminum starting point in the upcoming months. i am about to wrap up the truck swap and move on to the car swap. i start the process to deploy in late april though so i might get set back a year or so. i would still like to gather up some deals until then.
