LS Miata vs. 430 Challenge on track you decide

So what? These days everybody & their brother has an LS Miata kit. It's a freakin' shame. Besides, what happened in that video is more about driving than the cars. Passes like that happen all the time on open track days. Driving skill does not improve w/ wallet size.

Agreed.
Just judging by your driving style, the interior of the car and your reaction to the spin that happened in front of you at the 6:15 mark this isn't your first or second rodeo. Yes the Ferrari is fast as hell on the straights, but you reeled him in every single time in the turns and traffic.
You were on a lazy Sunday drive to the grocery while he was almost at the end of his nerves / skills with the car doing the rest. Nice driving.

I cannot take the credit for the driving skill. Chris (the driver in the vid) and I built the car over the last almost two years. We have enjoyed working on the car and having fun on the track.
You are right, this was not Chris's first rodeo. The 430 driver is also an accomplished driver, he has placed in the Ferrari challenge series. Traffic played a big part in pacing him. It was a blast regardless and not to bad for a home built track car.
Thanks to all here who pointed me in the right direction on numerous areas of the build.

I cant comment on Mark's weight but I'm shooting for 2300 maximum with full interior and no cage (2001 car)

The car weight is 2281 lbs with 1/2 tank of fuel.
The "tubular" conversion parts were sourced from V8roadsters, great quality, fit and finish.
The wing, and other composite parts we made for this application.
