more info on Hooker manifolds

Rep said that they flow better than stock, are cast iron and are available in 4 different color coatings.
Looks like the fit very close. Since they are cast iron, they could be angle milled for additional clearance.
Holley: “We designed these components in a CAD environment to work with the latest E-Rod engine from GM Performance Parts,” explained Tichenor. “The manifolds supplied by GM aren’t built to fit into the muscle cars, trucks and hot rods they go into, so we’re solving that problem. These manifolds feature enhanced internal geometry to promote and maintain high velocity flow for outstanding performance at all rpm levels in a tighter fitment profile to install on applications where no other LS manifolds will fit.
“Our manifolds are smoothed up for maximum flow and good looks while meeting the smog requirements the E-Rod engine is held to,” Tichenor continued. “They mimic the same shape and O2 provisions as the factory, so will work with both fuel-injected and carbureted applications.”

We currently have plans for a twin Mid Mount Turbo setup on our current shop car using these manifolds.
Here are a few Pics on one of my Mock up engines. They sit a hair over 2 3/4" off the Cylinder head making it a perfect fit for super tight Chassis. These pics are in the standard rear facing configuration. Facing foward will require alot of relocation of accesories and such.
