The Most Tucked LSX Manifolds that I have seen
#61
Which vehicle were these manifolds actually designed for? Or were they just for swap/universal? The reason why I'm asking is i'm currently doing a ls swap on my 69c10 p/u. I am using early classic enterprise motor mounts. On another thread I found out that with those motor mounts the only thing that fits are 98 99 camaro which arent very attractive or the 650.00 doug thorley headers.

I found these on ebay,
http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-3-ENVOY-TR...item3a6f1812db
but i wish i knew how close they hugged the cylinder heads.
I'm trying to find a tight set for my '85 crew cab. I have truck headers but the the stud hits the frame on the passenger side and the flange completely sits in the frame channel on the driver's side making it hard to connect with exhaust. To be honest, these hooker manifolds would be perfect except for the problem that THEY'RE NOT FOR SALE YET!!!!! come on HOLLEY hurry it up!

I run a LQ4 6.0 in my GMC 86 crewcab dually.
They fit very nice in this chassis.
I used "early" model F-body manifolds. (99 Camaro I believe)
They look a lot like the Holley ones from this thread...
The ones I have are not cast though. (Early ones are dual walled stainless steel I believe)

Crap can't wait that long right in the middle of a swap, guess its going to be thorley headers or 98 99 f body manifolds. My conversion is a 69 c10 will be an every day driver but would like it to perform well any suggestion between the two?

I ended up using what appears to be 2010 camaro F-body manifolds. They had been in my pile of parts the whole time and i didn't have a clue i already had them. Fit better than perfect in my '85. I posted pics and measurements here:

They fit TONS better than stock truck LS manifolds. I believe i have the SN's on there too. They look very similar to the Hooker ones posted on this thread that still haven't came out. The only differences i noticed was how the flange flares out on the drivers side a couple inches and then how the main manifold header seems bigger on the Hooker ones.

And they were obviously thinking of turbo builders too: http://www.holley.com/data/products/...rsed4Turbo.jpg

well,i got my ls1 mounted in my 69 chevy factory v-8 truck...i made some 1 inch set back adaptor plates so my f-body oil pan would clear the crossmember...i put a set of 2010 camaro manifolds on and they cleared fine, then i put a set of hooker block hugger headers(2312hkr)on and they had a huge amount of room and cleared everything by a mile....i might stick a set of lq4 manifolds on it in the next day or two to see how they fit....
