At this point the only one of the hooker manifolds readily available are the standard 8501-1. Still no certain date on the -3, -4, and -5 versions of it.

Do you have any info on whether there is a performance gain over stock exhaust manifolds? Hard to spend coin on these when 2010 Camaro manifolds will work and perform pretty well and are dirt cheap. Gains may keep me from buying headers.

Looks like they're all available now on summit except one of the coated options has a longer lead time.

Has anyone used these:

http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Tru-Ra...hed,53710.html

They look like they might be tighter to the block and they are cast stainless, which sounds good to me

I found those searching the web too. They might make some good turbo manifolds if you flip them.

Default Starter clearance?

Has anyone tried these on a GTO motor? Holley's website says they will not work, but I don't understand why. Starter solenoid is on the top - mine is the 204 LS1, maybe it changed for the LS2? I have a set of Dougs headers but they fit like crap in my Chevelle.

You would think there would be an affordable cast turbo manifold out since there is one available for just about every 4 cylinder engine that could fit one. I guess the abundance of stock manifolds keeps the demand down. sucks I want some cast similar to the BBC twin turbo ones you can get. I like the idea of having the whole hotside made of thick cast steel.

I had MASSIVE steering shaft issues in the LSx Powered Kia Sorento. I ended up going with a set of headers from a GTO. Because of where they dumped out at I had plenty of room to pipe them. I cut off the 2.5" flange though because they were designed to be factory replacements. I went with a 3" v-band.

Bumping an old thread here. My only issue with the Hooker manifold pieces shown here, are the 2 1/4 outlet size. That's really small isn't it?

Those speedway ones look better and have 3" outlet.

You should go watch the episode of Engine Masters on YouTube where they test various headers to see how little difference "small" exhaust makes on a moderate power engine. ..

I wanted the engine mounted as close to the firewall as I could and found the Hooker outlet would put the headpipe much closer to the firewall/floorboard than I desired. The Speedway cast stainless pieces ended up working much better for me. And it's a quality piece -- coated out beautifully. And yes - primary and outlet are significantly larger than the stock F-body manifolds that came on the LS3 I bought.

They don't look much different than the picture above that was posted 8 years ago.
