Default Kooks vs. Dynatech in Fox body swap..

Whose tried which? On Jegs website the Kooks appear to be 1 7/8" primary with 3 1/2" collector and look coated for $642.00

Dynatech are 1 7/8" primary with 3" collector and not coated for $599.00

These both say engineered around the AJE k member. I want to get headers first as my car already has a UPR tubular front end and hope to not have to buy the AJE.

I have Dynatechs, they're good. My only issue was they rubbed steering shaft faintly, but that could be the AJE K.

I sell the Kooks 1-7/8 for $570.00 shipped. They are mild steel and come painted. Bob

Am I correct to say that both will have clearance issues with the factory control arms?

Do the Kooks have a slip fit collector or a flange?

Do you know if there are any issues with the steering shaft?

Kooks sucked for me, was forced to buy a $225 dollar steering shaft to fit cause the stock didnt fit at all.

Kooks customer service sucked horribly so i will never buy from them again. Have them on the cadillac which i paid over $1k for and then ont he mustang and couldnt be less happy with the customer service.

BUY DYNATECH.

Are headers the same no matter what head you have or are they different for L92's?

I had Dynatechs in the past and the car performed well. I wouldn't expect the coating to hold up for very long. Mine lasted not quite a year before it began to flake, rust and peel.

I think Im going Dynatechs if my opinion matters. Cheaper for starters and seem to work as good as the Kooks. Ive talked to Dynateck on the phone about there headers and they were very nice folks. I plan to run Team Z Kmember.

Are you running the AJE control arms or factory?

Unhappy

I have the Kooks and they dont fit at all and thier customer service recommends I just moove the motor over. The passanger side rests on the body and on the AJE A-arm and bushing, so Im a little afraid to even start the car due to melting that bushing. I have the flaming river steering shaft and the drivers side header totally didnt fit there either. Kooks do NOT fit with the AJE in a foxbody without major tweaking in my case
