My turbo 4.8l 87 IROC build
well i got the chance to buy my old car back. i built this car back in like 04-05 and sold it for $5,500, bought it back a week ago not running but got it running for $700. absolutely love this car and drives soo much nicer then my 91. decided to go turbo 4.8l and hopefully t56. the plan is to completely shave the enigne bay clean and fill all holes and whatever. just picked up a 4.8l for $200 now to get the rest.

already tearing it apart. man the coolant was as black as used oil and was hardly in any of the coolant lines. they ran a cheap little tranny cooler and there was no fluid goin through that. anyways heres some pics of the tear down process and the 4.8l i just got.

well its sittin doin nothing tryin to finish up some work on the 91 before i give it to my old boss who bought it. hopefully ill get it done tomorrow and then i need to paint the engine bay on the iroc and hopefully get my pressure plate bolts so i can put the t56 on the motor and the motor in the car.
still gotta get the trans x-member from you!

almost got the motor/trans out of the 91. fixin a leak before my boss takes it. might be doin a couple other things and i still get to drive it lol.

might i ask why you went with this elbow? i know the ones at 6061 are alot better than the edelbrock ultra low profile one which doesnt flow. seen cars pick up power from switching elbows. be like running a n/a 454, big cam, fast 102 and a stock maf. the ultra low just doesnt flow.
