Mike @ SK SPeed (sponsor here) has the lowest prices of anywhere I could find on the AJE parts. You may want to hit him up before buying elsewhere.
Very personable shop and fast shipping to boot.

Plus, their has got to be some weight savings, right?

Im thinking i might just order the kit he offers with the coilovers, k member, a arms, mounts and trans mount. Just knock it all out at once. he's 1.5 hours south of me, i might just drive down their today.
I thought about going coil overs at the time, but I couldnt convince myself on them yet and stayed with the coils.

Hey guys, did anyone have any trouble with the k member located the engine at an angle?

I pulled a measurement across my front end and its square, but with my engine and trans in the car, its at an angle....

IIRC, the adjustment slots on the mounts were only one side of the kmember, i read somewhere that the K member has a 1" offset built into it, locating the motor 1" closer to the passenger side, nothing about it angling the motor, my trans is pointing toward the driver side... The shifter linkage is actually hitting the driver side firewall...

Back on Task, Jimmy from AJE called me yesterday afternoon to talk to me about my issue.

He said and i quote, The power glide is wider at the front and the tunnel/floor area will need to be clearanced for it to fit.

After looking at it closer yesterday with no lights under the car so their was no glares, sure enough, tail of the trans is centered under the tunnel and heading straight to the back, optical illusion becuase of the frame rails.

Anyhow, i guess im going to have Cut a hole in my floor then, because its hitting the factory shift fork for the trans, and i still have to take it out to put the Hurst unit in, which will stick out further.... So, im gonna have to actually box the floor in a little.

Unless someone has a better idea. Im pretty sure denting it wont be enough..

DO you guys all have your mounts <--- with the point facing forward or backward?

AJE said it goes either way and does not matter, but flipping them to have the points facing forward pushes the engine back an inch or so....

I flipped mine so they would point forward although I cut the excess (point) material off. I wanted the engine as far back as possible for better weight distribution & more room up front to plumb a future turbo setup.
