Default DBW to DBC conversion?

I have a 90mm TB off a 2005 LS2 and I want to get rid of the DBW and go with a cable. Does anyone make a conversion kit? Or is it better just to buy one? Thanks

If you are trying to convert the dbwthrottle body you have to cable operated it isnt going to happen, at least easily that is. Just buy a85mm truck cable operated one for cheap. Besides TB is probably the smallest gain of hp bolton you can do. Buy some hard parts (cam heads intake) those parts will have you feeling it in the seat of your pants!

Make sure your ecu can support the IAC needed with DBC.

I second what GARY said. Also make sure the tune is compatible.

Thanks guys. What i have is a 2003 6.0L. I just bought an LS2 intake with injectors and fuel rail with the DBW tb. The 6.0 did not come with a wiring harness, so I bought one that came off a 2000 SS. The motor is going in a 1970 nova with a TH400 and twin turbos. I still don't have a pcm. Every other part i have. If i buy a good aftermarket 90mm tb the 2000 ss wiring harness should work shouldn't it? Maybe a few changes. What about a PCM? Thanks

LS2 engines were not available til 2005. Do you have an iron block LQ 6.0 motor?
If so a 99-02 fbody harness will work ( I assume that's what you mean by your 00 SS harness).
You'll need an ecu capable of operating DBC. The 411 ecus work with your 24x reluctor motor and DBC.
You'll need an aftermarket 4 bolt cable TB to work with your LS2 intake. Or you can use a 3 bolt adapter and an LS1 TB.
Youl'll also need pgtails for the LS2 injectors.
I dont think the LS2 intake ever came with an IAC so you'll have to mod something for that.

Sorry, I forgot to say. Yes my block is iron and yes that is what I meant by the 00 ss harness. Cool, I thought the 411 ecus would work so thats good. Who makes a good 4 bolt TB that would work for my application? And could you explain the IAC to me? Thanks

On cable TBs idle is controlled by the idle air control valve (IAC) on the side of the TB. DBW TBs use the actual throttle blades to control idle.
I'm not sure, but I dont think GM ever made a 4 bolt LS2 cable TB with IAC. Not sure if aftermarket LS2 cable TBs use a stock IAC either.

Gotcha, thanks so much for your help. I'll post some pics of my build soon.

As far as I know, GM did not make a 4 bolt throttle body with DBC. Some aftermarket throttle bodies, Edelbrock for instance, have universal bolt pattern (3 and 4 bolt pattern) and include the IAC and TPS. Bolt sensors are stock replacement.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I have been thinking of utilizing the stock pedal in my 1986 K10 that I am installing an LM7. I got a throttle body, blue/red connectors, and PCM from a junkyard truck. I plan to follow the wiring/pinout info on the LT1Swap website. Do I understand correctly that the IAC and TPS are contained in the throttle body? I want to make sure I don't have to remove/install anything else on the intake manifold.

That is correct. DBW throttle bodies do not have an external TPS or IAC. The IAC function is performed by the motor driven throttle blade. Think of IAC as being micro adjustments, while the pedal makes macro movements.
