1991 Supra Turbo
What harness do i need? Do i convert the truck harness? Buy a painless? or do i need a vette harness.
I know the computer needs to be flashed to get all the unneeded codes out of it, but my question again is how do I go about getting a check engine light displayed in the car? I need to be able to check codes for the engine obviously.
as for right now those are the main issues i have i will bring up anything else as it comes along. Thanks in advance for the help i appreciate it.
You can keep the truck injectors/pigtails by removing the plastic tip of early ones or simply reusing flex fuel injectors on an LS1/6 intake. It will require aftermarket rails.
You can keep the truck accessories with some slight mods.
Who ever reflashes your ecu will remove the unused stuff but will keep the check engine light and OBD II port capability. You just need to wire them in.
My 5.3 with modified truck haness, truck accessories, injectors, LS1 intake, aftermarket rails.

The LS engine is way lighter than the stock turbo engine so you will need shorter springs in the front. Also the LS engine has most of the weight behind the shock towers and sits lower in the chassis.

They are model MM-LS1. We then made the plate with the tab on it that fits into the stock subframe. We used a grade-8 bolt tack welded to the plate so that you could install the nut from the bottom side which is easily accessible. The tube from the motor mount kit fit perfectly over the top of the bolt and also prevents the bolt from turning should the tack weld ever break. Hope that is clear. Unfortunately I don't have pics of those parts.
