Don't worry - that was before I started building the car.

You are young and dumb once, might as well take advantage of the opportunity! Never again though...

No build thread, I know... I need to make one! lol The SC is an amazing platform for LSx swaps. Tons of room! Although fitting the 4L80 was challenging - its a VERY tight fit. A T56 or 4l60 would be a piece of cake.

Both were peaking around 5900 which seems kinda low.. probably due to lack of timing.

Very cool swap, I had a turbo SC for a few years and always toyed with the idea of doing this.

I am going to put a 4.8l in a fast and fun street car, I am planning for a Comp Cams #54-424-11, which is 212/218 duration & .558/.563 lift... A little more than a LS6 cam. I am also planning on using Bosch 1100cc(107lb/hr) injectors and running it on E85. I am going to build a remote mounted turbo kit with a Garrett GT4202 and a Tial 60mm external wastegate, havn't decided on blow off valve and intercooler, but it will be an air to air... I want to hit 750-800 flywheel hp, maybe more depending on the boost and intake temp levels.

I was wondering how the 3600 stall convertor was working for you? Mine will primarily be a street car and I was hoping a 2800-3200 stall would be enough, but maybe not after all... I am used to dealing with diesels and the turbo sizing is quite different. I have a 4L80E that I am going to put a PATC level 3 kit in, manual valve body conversion, upgraded clutches, and a triple disc lockup convertor.... The car will be a Malibu Wagon with a 12 bolt or Ford 9" rearend.

Please do us all a favor and use your phone to take some pics and list some details. I love the video that idle sound at the end was the whole premise behind my 300zx silent assassin build. Im using an lq4 with a zo6 cam and 76 or 88 mm turbo with single exhaust all the way out the back. Hows that thing drive with the 3600 around town. I can imagine it instantly smokes the tires when you deck it. What do you have the 4l80e shifting at? What gear is in it. Is it still Irs? Come on man were all getting blue ***** from your teaser video and multiple posts with no info on the car.

Sorry guys, i've been really busty.. sorry to leave ya hanging! I promise I'll get some more pics of the car for you. I am not finished and have a lot of work to do to get it cleaned up.

Here is a quick shot of the engine:

Ignore the pink eBay piping (they goofed up) however, I do feel that it makes the car faster!

Flipped drivers side LS3 manifold, flipped pass truck manifold, tig'd v-bands on manifolds. 3" DP routes down pass side framerail, I sill have room for the AC compressor. There will be AC on this car!!

Driveline is stock, still using the 2pc driveshaft (shortened)... I am going to convert over to a 1pc - getting bad vibes at highway speeds. Stock rear, its an open diff.. I am looking for a Supra torsen diff to swap in place. Hopefully a taller gear too. I am amazed at how well this car stays hooked - very impressive.

I have eibach springs with Tokico Blue shocks, it rides decent... I'll get some swaybars in the near future.

I am now working on upgrading to E85. I want more boost and timing!!

Thanks all for the props... its been an interesting project!
