Default corvette balancer on 5.3?

I know the brackets for most of the accessories will not work, but I saw that the vette uses 2 belts like the trucks do, 1 being for the AC. Does anyone know if the AC belt will line up? The reason I am interested in this is attempting to save room in the front and the vette seems a little shorter. We will be making alt and ps brackets already, but were curious about the AC.

Your question is not exactly clear. All LS engine balancers will interchange, but obviously the accessory spacing will be different. If you swap to a Corvette balancer you will have to use the Corvette AC mount.

That was the answer I needed. I was not sure if the ac would work with the existing 5.3 mount. So will the corvette mount bolt right us to the 5.3 block?

I do believe that the Corvette AC mount will bolt to the 5.3L block, but I have not done it personally. I also believe that the Corvette AC compressor may be different than the truck one, but again, I don't know for sure. The Corvette AC compressor bolts to a separate bracket, which in turn bolts to the block. I think the truck compressor bolts directly to the block.

If you go with the Corvette balancer you will most likely have to use a Corvette AC compressor, and my gut tells me that it all should bolt to your 5.3L.

F-pump sits farther off the engine than the vette stuff. Vette is closest to block, then f-body, then truck (farthest off engine). You might be able to use the f-body water pump with a vette pulley but for that aggravation you would be better off buying a vette WP.

Other than the fact that I have a f-body water pump, lol . But the little bit of extra space will be worth it when trying to shove this motor with twin turbos down into my Wrx.

According to Rockauto.com the AC Delco PN 252846 is listed for both F-bodies and C5 Corvettes.

Lol, I feel kind of dumb. I didn't even think to check that. I guess I just assumed they were different. Thanks a lot for checking!
