LS1 Conversion motor mounts...
The look simple enough to make... I just can't see paying the mega-bucks S&P is asking, when the same thing can be made for probably $10 out of steel plate. Does anyone have any diagrams/measurements to use for making some plates?

Another question: for those of you that HAVE used the S&P mounts... is the motor placement EXACTLY right?? I mean is it truly in the exact same spot as a small block would be?? Do things like stock transmission mounts/driveline angles etc. all match up the way they did with a small block, or is there a lot more tweaking involved?
Yes, they put the engine exactly where a small block would be along the "front to back" axis. If you are content with this location then the only clearance issue for that particular swap is the a/c compressor. The LS1 looks like it belongs there:

Given that the plates themselves have a certain thickness it could be that the LS1 would sit a tad higher than a small block, but this was not a concern of mine.
