so i got a little fab work started on the hotside pipes. this is used diesel exhaust tubing. didnt cost a dime.

several 15* cuts were made to get a tight bend.

should flow good enough.

here is where the manifolds will merge.

smooth transfer

tac welded for mock up.

someone practiced welding on this tubing, nothing a grinder cant clean up.

the right side is the passanger side, basically mocked up. the old hanger will be cut off later.

feel free to comment my build, any ideas or questions

so today i mounted the battery in the trunk, ran 0 gauge welding cable from front to back, spliced in power constant and switched 12+ so now the ecu gets power with key on, starter works just like it should.

the wires will be cleaned up better once i know everything is working 100%

ignition working great!

going to try and get the factory speedo working, volt and fuel level will stay stock. everything else will be aftermarket, water temp, oil press, trans temp, wideband a/f, boost. going with prosport gauges. My origional plans were to wire in a cts-v cluster but the old ones are wayyy too pricy, the new ones are like twice as much.

You need a dakota digital signal transformer to make the stock speedo work. Rip that junk ford **** out and dont waste time dicking with it.

I was going to use the stock cluster but I just couldn't justify only using two gauges on it and using after market for the rest, Im building a gauge plate similar to the mc machine but mine's steel and cut out with a plasma cnc and will retain the stock clear face on it. Let me know where ya get the speedo cable to run the stock cluster with a TH400, if its cheap enough I may run the stock cluster til next winter.

yeah after looking at the cable i noticed its too short, it needs to reach the tailhousing on any 1st gen trannys on the other side. so it has to be changed, my phone has gps speedo. lmao thats all im going to use for a while.

Sounds good. I'm usually in Cheyenne every other weekend or so. I haven't drove the 11 Camaro in awhile, I'll have to come up and see your guys projects.

The speedo in my camaro doesn't work either and I just use the gps speedo on my phone until I remember what rpm is what speed.
