Default '72 nova engine mount pics

After a ton of looking at all the pics & issues with the Nova oil pan clearance ect. This is what I came up with ....Plates are SWAP TECH 3 position in the center & the stands are for a big block in the Nova .
I tried a set of small block stands but did not like the way they sat .What you see is the Tall Energy Susp. mounts 2 3/8 width ,I took a piece of 3/16 wall tubing cut to fit & ground a flat spot for it to set before welding in.
There is plenty of clearance everywhere .Motor was set up without the trans first & Pinion angle was set at -3 degrees & then welded tubes to the stands.
I have done the first test fit with trans & pinion angle is 4 degrees to provide good clearance for service of trans & get to all bolts with no issues.
Hope this helps anybody who is doing a Nova. The '67 -'69 Camaro uses the same Sub Frame .

Weird error. Try resaving them as a different file type.

Finally got around to viewing your work. Nice job so far.. keep us posted.. As far as Engine mounts. I say anything that works, is good.. ! what trans was originally in there and is the x-member the same one ?..I am using a modified TH400 x-member

Guess I better get started up again on my Nova...

Trans X member was in the car with a Turbo 350 originally ,I cut the ctr 2 bolt plate out & welded in 1/4 " plate & redrilled 1 bolt for the F Body 1 bolt mnt that came with the pullout LS1 Mtr/Trans .It clears the BRP L T Headers real nice since they tuck up so tight to the floor pans .
The engine stands are Big Block Stands for the '72 Nova & worked better than the small block stands with the way I modified them to fit with the Energy Susp. Tall Narrow [2 3/8] Engine Mnts.
Hope the Mtr Mnt Modification will help since it was a very inexpensive fix for the Xbody for oil pan clearance [I used the LH8 pan].I also wrapped the Tubing to avoid any chance of cracking under high stress Launches ,Shifts,Ect.I will have pics up this week of the Mtr Installed & the Mtr Mnt. Tubes Wrapped with a Reinforcement Strap .
Also used the Tanks Inc. Kit for the second time ,it is a well priced kit that seems to work well without dropping $1100 on a Stainless Tank.......which is fine if you can afford it.

Bandit..Been doing a little work..

Got the Trans X-Member done (that was holding me up some). Engine/trans now mounted to subframe and that is back on the Body now.. been working on the sheet metal (Cleaning and some painting) and trying to fit the 4th Gen Radiator/Fans to the Radiator Support, I got that just about figured out!.

Researching to use the 4th Gen Brakle Booster and Master and also Pl;anning out a fuel system. I well be updating my build post in a week or so..
